Hi I'm Drake Marley

I grew up in Salem, OR and my family currently resides in Las Vegas, NV while I serve in the Alpine- German Speaking Mission.

About Me

My name is Drake. I grew up in Oregon and have bounced back and forth quite a bit between there and Las Vegas. I have 4 siblings; two brothers and two sisters. I completed high school in Las Vegas where I spent my time loving fitness, cars, powerlifting, and of course the sunshine. I am currently serving the same mission my father served where he met my mother in Zurich Switzerland. I love nutrition and am always searching for ways to better my health. After my mission I plan to attend BYU Provo where I will get my finance degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church and it is the main point in my life from which I draw happiness. Especially being on a mission, I have come to appreciate the gospel so much more. I am a mormon because I want to live with my family for time and all eternity. I am a mormon because I want to be sealed to my family for eternity and I want my children to know who they are and where they came from and their purpose on the earth. I am a mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I am a mormon because I have recived my own witnesses of the truthfullness of the Book of Mormon and all other aspects of the church. Like everyone else I had to search for my own witness of truth and I recieved them through sincere prayer. This gospel has drawn me closer to my family and others, and has helped me see the value in other people and how I can treat them moer the way that Christ would treat them. It has taught me the value of prayer and the help you can recieve though it. Most importantly, it has taught me that Christ is our savior and that is is only through him that we can recieve a remission of sins and work to return to live with Him, Heavenly Father, and our Families and friends for time and all eternity. I have testimony of all this and it is that testimony that keeps me going as I try to bring the gospel into the lives of all those people here in Switzerland and all those I will come into contact with.

How I live my faith

As I said I am serving in the Alpine German Speaking mission currently. Been out since March 26, 2014 and I love it. I am always looking for ways to serve others and bring eveything around to Christ and how his teachings will bless their lives as well as their families. We organize family home evenings for the ward and other people who would like to come. Living the faith brings the experince by which you can obtain a testimony of its truthfullness and this is certainly my faith. It is who I am. Back home we would love to help people move because my brothers and I all like to lift things and are all into fitness. Doing service projects is one of my favorite things to do. I am very outgoing and love to speak with people!
