Hi I'm Emilee Anderson

I am the oldest of 6 kids, I play Rugby for SUU, I am serving in the North Dakota Bismarck mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of six children. I am the first grandchild on both sides to serve a mission. My dad is in the United States Marine Corps and my mom is a cosmetologist. I have attended one year of school at Southern Utah University where I played rugby. I am currently taking a break to serve a mission in the North Dakota Bismarck Mission (previously known as the South Dakota Rapid City Mission). My plan for when I complete my mission is to finish school and become a Certified AthleticTrainer. I also want to travel the world and see all of the beauty that God has created for his children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. Being raised by parents that have strong testimonies in the gospel and seeing their amazing examples has made me want to strive to develop a stronger testimony in the gospel for myself and continue to be worthy to enter into the house of the Lord. As I continue to live my life to the standards set by the Lord, I gain a closer relationship with him and experience more joy in my life.

How I live my faith

Growing up I have had numerous opportunities to serve in leadership roles in the LDS church. For the youth there are two programs, the young women's program and the young men's program. Each programs designed to help develop and strengthen the testimonies of the youth within the church. Having been a part of the young women's program and taking on leadership rolls at a young age has helped me to develop numerous life skills and helped me to become more confident in, and rely on myself and my testimony and has caused it to be strengthened tremulously. Serving a full-time mission and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others is probably the biggest way that I am living my faith right now. I love bringing the light of Christ in to the lives of those I teach. I also love reading and rereading the Book of Mormon and finding something new each and every time I read it.
