Hi I'm Karisa Riddle

Born and raised in Southern California. Going to be a Child Life Specialist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Vista, California. I love it so much there! It was so fun growing up 15 minuets away from the beach and having all the fun opportunities that come from living in such a great area. I may be a little biased. I grew up dancing. I started when I was 3 years old and I absolutely loved it. I mainly did Ballet, but I did lots of other types too. I clogged and did lyrical, tap, jazz, hip-hop. It was my life. I did it all through High School but then I kind of fell away from doing it strictly. In high school I also found a love for theater. I participated in the Drama program and I had so much fun with that. With that I also found a love of singing. And now it is one of my most favorite things to do. I have done 8 semesters of school at BYU-Idaho. I am studying Child Development and I want to be a Child Life Specialist.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but that is not why I am a member of this church. I am a Mormon because I know that it is true. I have found out for myself that this is the true church of Christ. I love the Spirit that I feel all the time and I know that comes from following the teachings of Christ. Some people may say that there are a lot of 'rules' to follow. We are given guidelines to help us stay on the right path and I am so grateful for that. And we are blessed so much when we follow the commandments. I do not know where I would be if I did not have this Gospel. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who is aware of me and able to answer my prayers.

How I live my faith

I love being able to live my religion. I think the biggest thing that I do is live a life so that people know what my beliefs are. I know that example is a big part of showing people what you believe and so I always strive to be a good example to those around me. I also love being able to participate at church. One of my favorite things that I have done is work with children ages 18 months-3. It was such a fun time and I loved being able to teach them about the gospel and seeing their understanding. I was able to learn so much from doing that. Right now I am serving a mission for the church and that is so wonderful! It is showing me a lot about things that I can be constantly be doing to make sure I live my faith. One of those being always inviting people. This is such an important thing. We are always told that the power is in the invite and it is so true.
