Hi I'm Kari

I've been married 21 yrs & have 3 kids. We've lived in 2 countries & 6 states. I'm from S. California & 5th generation Mormon

About Me

I love ALL things family! Some of my favorite things: Family dinners-I know everyone is safe and we get to catch up on everyone's events of the day. Family Newsletter-Each month my 6 siblings & parents send update & pictures that I put together in newsletter format and distribute. Family History-Create digital books of family history stories, genealogy and pictures to share. I love SERVING in the school, community and church! School-I really enjoy the opportunity to teach, a yearly 5 session course, in my son's classes. Community Soccer Program-With three boys who play soccer I usually end up being the team manager for their team. Boys Scouts of America Organization-Help out with weekly meetings and advancements for my son's troops. Church-Love the YOUTH! I'm currently the President of a local young women's group with 25 members and 10 adult women leaders. We're getting ready for Girl's Camp later this month!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that my Heavenly Father lives and loves me, too. I know that Jesus Christ is his only Begotten Son and that he was crucified, on the cross, for me and atoned for my sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. I know this because I have asked through prayer with a sincere desire to know for MYSELF that the 4 generations before me knew what they had converted to in the 1800's. This is when the Church of Jesus Christ was restored to the Earth again by Joseph Smith, Jr., never to be taken away in preparation for Jesus Christ's return to reign. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and if we live by its precepts and teachings we will be able to live with our Heavenly Father, again. Of these things I testify, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I choose to be a homemaker to our 3 boys which leads me to helping in many different facets of society. I help in the boys classes, volunteer in the Scouting organization, and volunteer in the local soccer league as a team parent. I also have the privilege to serve as the Young Women's president of our local church area to 25 girls between the ages of 12-18. We have weekly Wednesday activities that teach the young women who they really are as children of our Heavenly Father. This includes activities that promote strong moral values such as Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice & Accountability, Good Works, Integrity and Virtue. We learn how to sew, cook, camp, and have a lot of fun doing it together! We also have Sunday meetings where we discuss Gospel centered topics through the use of the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price and modern day prophets.
