Hi I'm Seth

I grew up in Alberta, Canada in a family of six. I love playing the piano and doing musical theatre. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am twenty years old and am currently serving as a missionary for the church in Micronesia. I have spent most of my mission on an island called Pohnpei. I love music and have been involved with it since I was four. I started off playing the piano and then went into musical theatre and choir in grade nine. I love to write as well and am working on a three book series. I stopped writing when I came on my mission but plan to resume the venture when I return home. Above all I love the gospel. It is the greatest thing that I am involved in. It guides everything that I do and I have never been happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because living its teachings has brought me more joy and fulfilment than anything else that I have ever done in my life. Even though I was born and raised in the church, I had to gain a personal testimony just like everybody else. I feel happier and more at peace now than I have been my entire life. I constantly keep learning and growing in the gospel, so I stay with it. for several years I struggled with serious addiction. I tried very hard to overcome it by myself but was met with no success. It was only when I embraced the teachings of Jesus Christ that I started to find real peace and actual healing. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has helped me to develop a real relationship with the Savior. It has helped me to really understand the love of God and has taught me how to overcome and learn from the challenges of life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the church. One of our key doctrines as Mormons is that we "Love [our] brother[s] as ourselves." In this aspect, for me, a mission is a dream come true. My day to day activities are centered around inviting others to experience the peace and joy that I have personally felt through Jesus Christ.
