Hi I'm Neine

I grew up in Billings, Montana but was born in Provo, Utah. I love anything to do with sports and music and I love adventures!

About Me

I attend BYU- Provo and love it there. I am a huge sports and outdoors fan. I love to be around people and love to travel to new places. My favorite place to be is with family and friends, and anywhere on the beach or someplace warm! (the cold and I are not friends). I coach volleyball and I am a music minor. I love to sing and I love to perform. I also love doing service for others, and even though its weird; I love to clean!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into this Church. It has been my entire life and I do not know where I would be without it. Growing up in Montana, I was not always around members and so trying to be a good example was not always the easiest thing to do. Especially in high school, everyone wants to fit in and feel included. But as I have grown up, I have seen that it is very important to stay strong and true to your values. We are given the blessing of agency and I have seen it play a huge role in my life. Why am I a Mormon? Because I believe that the principles taught in this Church are true. I believe that we do have a Father in Heaven that loves us and wants the very best for us. I believe that we were sent down here to be with our families for eternity and that we were to be tested to be able to live with Him someday. I love this Gospel, and I am so grateful that I have it in my life.

How I live my faith

I have participated in many service projects that not only require physical attention, but emotional and mental strain as well. I have been the activities chair for the ward as well as presidents and counselors for the beehive, miamaid, and laurel callings. I was the music coordinator as well. I love visiting teaching, and love meeting new people and trying to make them feel more comfortable.

What is the First Vision?

The first vision spreads a new light on many things. But I want to specifically talk about two. The first is that a young boy saw God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. This is such an inspiration to me! Our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ are two separate beings! And even more so, they are real beings; not just some figment of someone's imagination, or some idol that people worship. They are living beings and they love us so much. The second aspect is that of the devil. The First Vision sheds some light of the aspect of Satan. While in the grove praying, Joseph was overcome with a dark spirit; a real and tangible thing. This thing was the Devil keeping him from praying. Isn't that amazing! Not only does It show that this Church is true, but it also shows that the Devil is real! He too is a real being, trying ever so hard to keep us from our potential: becoming like our Heavenly Father. What great a blessing it is to know that we have the Gospel, to show us that our Father in Heaven and our eldest brother, Jesus, are real people; and that even the devil himself, is a real person.
