Hi I'm Lachele

I am from Arizona. I love music, dancing, the lake, singing, and being with my family. I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been playing the cello since fourth grade. Music is definitely a big deal in my life. I cheered my Junior and Senior of high school. I was co-captain junior year and then captain my senior year. I am a sophomore at BYU-Idaho and I love that school! The school has definitely helped me grow as a person and realize the things that mean the most to me; like my family, friends, and the gospel. I love being with my family. We are a big family so there is never a dull moment which keeps things pretty interesting! I have been called to serve a mission in Tacoma Washington.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that this church is true and the things that it teaches are true. I was in sixth grade and for some reason my friends and I were talking about religion and everyone was saying that their religion was correct. I came home and asked my mom how our religion could be true if everyone else said theirs was true. She told me that she knew our church was the only true church but I needed to find out for myself. So that night I knelt down and asked God if it was true. I didn't get an answer right away. Actually it took six years for me to get an answer. I was sitting in church when all of the sudden I felt the Holy Ghost tell me that yes this church is true, the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith and what he did was true. It is all true. Ever since then I have never doubted that this church is true and I am so happy that I made that decision for myself.

How I live my faith

One way that I live my faith is by decided to go on a mission. When I first was thinking about going out on a mission, I was super excited because it was something that I have always wanted to do. However, as the days went on I began to doubt the fact that I should go. I began to pray more and more to try and find out if this was something that I was to do. Long story short, I know that I am to be going out on my mission. There are some things that I need to learn to help me grow more and more in the Gospel and there may just be someone out there that needs me. I have never been to Washington but I know that making this choice will help me in my future. God will always be looking out for me and helping me while I am there.
