Hi I'm Ellise

I'm a piano player, college student, and I love life. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am from Idaho and will always be a small town girl at heart. I have been attending Utah State University and love it. When I graduate I will be a Speech Language Pathologist and I want to work with brain trauma patients. This job will give me the opportunity to still raise a family in the future. Until then I am living life surrounded by family and friends and I am truly happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the truthfulness of the gospel. I was raised as a member of this church but I have gained my own testimony. I was 10 years old when my older sister died, and at that point I had to know for myself if God was there and if what I had been taught my whole life was true. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed and was able to have a wonderful and unexplainable comfort and peace come into my life. I know that because of our Savior I can be forgiven of my sins, return to our Father in Heaven, and live with my entire family again. I can't imagine living my life without the knowledge this gospel gives me.

How I live my faith

The gospel teaches that we love and serve one another because we are all children of God. I enjoy volunteering in homeless shelters and food pantries to help those people who haven't been as fortunate as me. I also give a lesson once a month to the women at church which helps me learn more about the gospel as well as teach others. For the next 18 months I will be in California spreading the joy of this gospel to the people there.
