Hi I'm Zac

I'm an athlete. I'm a student. I love Scouting and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi! My name is Zac. I have lived in Utah all my life but am currently living in North Carolina. I love to go on vacations and hike in places like Washington, California, and Southern Utah with my family. My favorite sport is soccer but I will play just about anything. I attended an early college high school and graduated my senior year with my Associates degree. For the past 3 summers I have been a Scout Camp staff member and absolutely love the Scouting program! I love to go on dates, have fun with friends, and enjoy life the way God intends us to.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church I had to gain a testimony for myself, otherwise the restored gospel wouldn't have any real meaning for me. The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, promises all who read it sincerely that they can gain a testimony of its truthfulness. And if the Book of Mormon is true, then Jesus is the Christ and he lives, Joseph Smith was a prophet, and Thomas S Monson is the Lords prophet on the Earth today! I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon not in a sudden flash of lightning or instant "knowing." Rather, I came to a knowledge that the Book was true gradually, through much prayer and study. I now know it is true and love it more than any other book on the planet! Knowing that there is a Prophet on the Earth, and that God speaks to his children and knows us personally, comforts and guides me each day of my life. I love this gospel and our Heavenly Father who provided it for us with all my heart!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve others in any way I can. I know that when I serve others I am serving God. This is one of the reasons I enjoy the Scouting program so much, because of the emphasis it places on serving others. I try to serve daily by being a friend to everyone I meet. As I live the commandments and serve others, I am blessed with a feeling of peace and comfort that my Savior and Heavenly Father love and appreciate me. I know that they are aware of me individually and I try to show my gratitude by spreading that love to those around me. One of my favorite quotes says "Life is not a having and a getting, but a being and a becoming." God wants us to be happy and I trust that he will bless me abundantly every chance I give him.
