Hi I'm Tammy

.I am a partner with my husband in our construction business and I design custom homes. I enjoy my family and love the outdoors.

About Me

I was raised in an abusive home and have been blessed by a loving Heavenly Father to be able to leave the pain behind and enjoy a wonderful life. I have worked as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in behalf of abused and neglected children. In conjunction with being an inspirational speaker, I have written self-help pamphlets and papers for dealing with abuse. In April of 2013 I accomplished a life-long goal and received a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from Brigham Young University with and emphasis in writing. I love the freedom of expression I find in writing. I am happily married, have six children, and 18 grandchildren (with one on the way). As a major stress relief, I enjoy hiking, biking, horses, and pretty much anything active and outdoorsy.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child I loved the light I felt when I went to the Mormon church. I couldn’t get enough of it. I wanted to live in that light continually. I learned about Jesus, baptism and the wondrous Gift of the Holy Ghost that could be with me to help me always. I had a great desire to be like Jesus and to live in a perfect brightness of the hope He offered. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ’s church on the earth and through it He offers us not only evidence of His love, but direction in how to fully enjoy it in our lives. The opportunities for progression are wonderful and endless! I know I have a loving Heavenly Father and older brother, Jesus Christ that want me to be the best I can be and not only encourage me in my efforts, but through the loving Atonement have provided a way for me to overcome weaknesses and trials. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart and over the years have felt an ever-deepening effect of God’s grace as I strive to use all that I have been given to help others feel this same joy.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching the children at church and helping them feel the love of the Savior and the excitement and beauty of the world around us. I love working with the youth and helping them maintain their testimonies and encourage them in holding to the truths and ways of life that will help them be strong and happy through all that they encounter in life. I enjoy the sisterhood of the women and sharing knowledge, experience and testimony. In the community I have worked as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused and neglected children.
