Hi I'm Kayla

I was raised in Southern California. I am a student at BYU. I love the beach, reading, and smiling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors-hiking, horseback riding, reading in the sun. I am a student at BYU in Provo, Utah and I absolutely love it there. I am majoring in Dietetics so some call me a "food geek" which makes me laugh. I enjoy getting to know different people. I am the third of four children and my family means so much to me. I am serving my mission in Orlando, Florida on January 14 2015 for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? The gospel brings joy and peace each and every day. Because I have faith and have put my trust in the Lord I can wake up each morning knowing that He is by my side. I gained a testimony through the simple act of reading the scriptures, attending church, and praying sincerely to know if it is true- and it is! I know that Christ is our Savior and atoned for each and every one of us so that we can be free from guilt and pain and one day live again with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and every day by serving others in little ways and doing my best to become more like Christ. I pray and read the scriptures every day, bringing the Spirit into my life, which brings so much joy! I attend 3 hours of church every Sunday and I live the standards of the church because I love it and I do all that I can to follow Christ. Now I am serving a mission to teach others about my faith which brings me so much joy.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes they can! I think it is so beautiful that families can be together forever. Members of the church are able to be sealed together for time and all eternity inside the temple through sacred ordinances. Show more Show less
