Hi I'm Jacob

I was born and raised in Northern Utah. I love to four-wheel in the mountains near my home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am graduating from high school in the spring of 2014. I will be leaving soon thereafter to serve a 2 year LDS mission. I will return and attend college at a local university. I love the great outdoors especially on the seat of an ATV. I have mowed lawns since I was 7 with my brothers. We have a thriving business and I love every minute of it. If I've got time away from work and I'm sore from trail riding, I spend it rock climbing. I love working with any form of motorized equipment or machinery. I have a knack for fixing things and I love working with my hands.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because of the witness that I have received from the Holy Ghost. I have been in the church all my life and over the past few years I have had the opportunity to study the scriptures and learn what the prophets of old have taught us and what the prophets of today have taught us. I have come to know my Savior personally and know that He loves me and everyone else as His children. I know that God has provided us a way to return and live with Him because He loves us and wants us to be happy. I know he is waiting to bless us if we will just follow him. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet and I know Thomas S. Monson is our loving prophet today who leads and guides this church through revelation. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that it is from God. We can communicate to Him through prayer and if we do so in faith, we will receive an answer.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church with my friends and neighbors and look forward to our Tuesday youth meetings. I work with others to provide meaningful service to elderly folks in the neighborhood. I am a leader in my youth group and I participate in the blessing and passing of the sacrament each week. I feel privileged to have been able to attend school with many friends of my faith. It has been easier to uphold my standards with the support of good examples around me. I am happy with who I am and hope to share this with others.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is through him and and only through him that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. He has suffered our sins and knows our sorrows and has provided a way for us to repent and be made clean again. Show more Show less
