Hi I'm Amy

Originally from Nevada. Serving as a full-time missionary in Alabama! I love chocolate.

About Me

I am from Nevada. Where it is hot all year- round. For that reason, I love swimming! Being outdoors, is where I like to be. Camping, 4-wheeling, and going to the mountains. I love my family! They are absolutely everything to me. I know for a fact that I wouldn't be the person that I am today if it wasn't for the members in my family. If I had to survive on only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be chocolate. I love chocolate! Right now, I am serving a 18 month mission in Alabama. I love this gospel and I want to share it with everyone.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family. To me, that is one of the greatest blessings that God could have bestowed upon me. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with parents that were faithful enough to live this gospel, and then raise me with the gospel in my life as well. I am a Mormon because I want to be. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one and only true church on this earth today. I know that. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and because of his faith, God chose him to restore this gospel on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. This book is seriously my life- saver. The message it contains is true. I know that our prophet, Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. I know my Heavenly Father loves me. Despite all my imperfections and mistakes, I know he still loves me and wants me to be happy. Because of the Atonement, I know that I can repent and be forgiven of my sins. My loving Savior, Jesus Christ, died for me and my sins, and through his sacrifice, I can be forgiven. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father so much. Words cannot express how grateful I am for them and their example. I love this gospel. I love being Mormon. The happiness that comes to me from living this gospel is a great blessing. I would be lost if I did not have the guidance that comes from living this gospel. This gospel is my life, and I would not want to have it any other way. I hope to bring this same happiness to others who are searching for it. Heavenly Father wants all of His children to be happy and come unto Him. I am excited to serve a mission so that I can help and serve others. So that I can introduce them to this wonderful gospel. I love my family, for their support and love them give me daily. I love my ward and ward leaders who have been huge influences in my life. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for their unconditional love and their willingness to help me and be there for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being engaged in service. As a young woman, I have held several leadership positions in my church that have given me opportunities to serve others. I have organized many events for the other young women in my church. Just getting to know each of them, has been a blessing. I like to invite people to different events that our church holds. I have worked with many leaders in my church that are well- known and respected. They have taught me and have been great examples in my life. In my life right now, I am preparing to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am very excited to share my faith with others. I know that a mission will give me endless opportunities to serve others and I cannot wait.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

For me, I speak to my Father and Heaven through prayer. He may not answer my prayers right away, or in a way that I want Him too, but my answers come through Him eventually. I know He is there, and He listens to us. Prayer is a way that I get to know God. I feel my relationship with Him grow stronger when I speak to Him. Show more Show less
