Hi I'm Armando

I was born in Mexicali, but i grew up in California. Love music and sports.

About Me

I love playing basketball. Have played it throughout my life. Playing guitar is a big part of my everyday life. I have finished 3 semesters of college and will be leaving on my mission to Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

It was about 10 years ago, I had a project in school about Spanish Missions. You know the old adobe, brick, buildings built by Catholics. Well I needed information about them, so my dad asked a member from church if he could help us out. And guess who they sent over? That’s right, the missionaries. So they continued to visit us and give us the lessons. They knew nothing of the missions by the way. But after a couple of months of taking the lessons, all four of us became baptized. Right away we felt something different, like it was starting to make a lot more sense. And I know we may not always notice the changes in our life, especially us who have been part of the church for so long, but I know that once we were baptized and started to come to church our lives changed a lot. Being able to surround myself with people that care about you and want the best for you. Not only coming from adults. But people your own age. And I too will be able to bring that joy and that happiness into someone else's life.

How I live my faith

I am a representative for the Young Single Adults, which are people ages 17-30. I plan events and activities so that we can become closer and interact with one another. I was also in charge of the Sunday School. Which is one of the 3 hours of church.
