Hi I'm Ashlyn.

I'm 18-years old, green-eyed, and prefer to see the world through a camera lens. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I study graphic design at Arizona State, am a typography nerd, and like bike rides and long walks on the beach. My favorite colors are forest green and gold. I love to watch baseball, super hero, and Nicholas Spark's movies. I'm a lover of sushi and sunflowers. I believe it's perfectly normal to drink hot chocolate and listen to Christmas music all year round. I'm obsessed with big cities, and want to travel the world. And, if you were wondering, my toothbrush color is blue.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up as a member of the LDS Church, I didn't really have a choice in whether I was a "Mormon" or not. As a youth, I really had to find my own testimony and learn to not rely on my parent's understanding of the gospel, but had to develop my own understanding of what it meant to be a Latter Day Saint. As I spent the time studying, praying, and fasting whether to know if the church was true or not, I came to the clear conclusion that it is. I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the restoration of this church, and The Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I believe actions speak louder than words, which is why I strive to live my life according to the doctrines and teachings of the church and of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I've spent many days serving with the youth of the church, organizing and planning church events, and teaching children in Sunday school. My testimony has been strengthened by each of these services, and I've grown to know of the love that our Heavenly Father has for each of His children.
