Hi I'm Daniel

I'm the youngest of 6 children. I've been called to serve in the Peru Lima Central Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 6 children. All the members of my family are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have always wanted to grow up and be just like my dad and my brothers because of the great examples that they have been. My mom and my sister have always been there supporting me in everything that I've done. I'm also an Eagle Scout. Sports are a big part of my life. As long as I can remember I've been playing basketball and baseball. When I got into high school, I decided I would try something new and tried out for the volleyball and track team. As high school was coming to an end I was faced with the decision to either go straight to college or serve a mission. I've always known that I wanted to go on a mission, and after they changed the age from 19 to 18, I made the decision to go straight out of high school. I turned in my mission papers and received my call. I will be serving in Lima Peru! I know that this is where I'm supposed to be at this point in my life. After my mission I plan to attend college where I will pursue my goals and expand my education. Helping people has always been an interest of mine, so I think the medical field would be the perfect place for me. I know that serving a mission will not only change people's lives in Peru, but my life will be changed as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because without this Church, I wouldn't have the same happiness in my life that I have right now. I was born into the church, so I don't know what its like to not have the gospel in my life. But after praying about it, and really trying to find out for myself if the church is true, I know with all my heart that it is. I wouldn't be going to serve a mission if I didn't know for a fact that its true. I'm always learning more and more about Christ, who is the perfect example. By striving to be more like him, I see more blessings in my life than I ever thought possible. Being a Mormon has made me into who I am. Without the church in my life, there is no way I would be the same person I am today. I'm a Mormon because I want to live with my family after this life, and I know that through the Plan of Salvation I will be able to be with them again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving service to others wherever I see the opportunity to do so. In the scouting program, we constantly search for ways to help others. I will have countless opportunities to help others while serving as a full time missionary.
