Hi I'm Taylar

I'm a student. I love running and family time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently going to college, studying to become a Healthcare Administrator. My days are filled with homework and a part-time job, but I make time for running and spending time with friends and family. I love laughing, and my favorite food is waffles!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where both of my parents were members. I was raised going to church, and I was baptized when I was 8 years old. But just like everyone else, I had to learn for myself if the church was true. I read the scriptures growing up, and one day I asked myself if I knew the Book of Mormon was true. I decided to do what I had been taught my whole life: ask God. I remember going to my room and kneeling down, folding my arms, and bowing my head. Before I even started to pray, I had a thought come to my mind, "You already know." It was a clear thought, and it filled my body with warmth and peace. And I knew. To this day, I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true. The words were written by men that lived thousands of years ago, but the principles and doctrines taught are just as true today as they were back then. I know that Heavenly Father loves me more than I could ever comprehend -- and He has a plan for my life. I have seen time and time again, little things that testify of this truth. He places people into my life, situations in my path, and countless numbers of daily blessings -- all because He loves me. His love for me makes me want to give back, to help others, and to share the message of this gospel. This gospel is all about love. And that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm a firm believer in "paying it forward". It's so cool to see how one little act can totally change someone's day, and you just know that it's perpetuated forward -- affecting more people than you realize. I love looking for small opportunities to brighten someone's day, and in return my day is also brightened. I've been involved in a lot of youth-oriented programs in my community, that organize events and activities that will keep kids off of the streets.
