Hi I'm Chelsea

I am from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I am 21. I'm a middle child of three. I'm in school to be a Registered Nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have completed two years of Nursing and have two more to go. When I am not at school, I am doing homework. When I am not doing homework, I am working at Wendy's (very glamorous). And when I am not doing any of that, I am catching up on my favourite shows - Vampire Diaries, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Bones, Criminal Minds, The Big Bang Theory, etc. I love music as well and wish that I could play the piano. During the summer when I am not in school, I play on a soccer team and this year my friends and I formed a beach volleyball team. I have a younger brother and older sister and we all live at home with our mom and dad. I have a pet hamster named Gem who makes me laugh on a daily basis (she is actually hilarious)!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church just as both of my parents were. I was baptized when I was eight years old. I have always had a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. The church has made me the person I am today through its teachings and through living its standards. Because of my membership in the church, I am very close with my family. I have met so many amazing people who are now my best friends. I am so grateful for the church and for the leaders. I have been so blessed in my life. I know the church is the true church on this earth today and that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God. The church gives me so much joy and I wish to share it with everyone that they might feel the everlasting joy it brings.

How I live my faith

I attend a Young Single Adult (YSA) branch each Sunday. I try to attend as many church activities as I can. I have read the Book of Mormon (BOM) a few times and am currently reading it again. Each night I will read a chapter with help from a student manual. I pray always tough more often in times of stress, need, and gratitude. I try to serve others when I can. I do not drink alcohol, coffee, or tea. I do not swear. I do not say the Lord's name in vain. I do not steal or cheat or lie. I do not spend money on Sundays (the Sabbath). I try not to work on Sundays. These are just some of the ways I live my faith. I am a continual work in progress! :)
