Hi I'm Katrina

I grew up in California. I am studying Biochemistry at BYU-I. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a small farm in a small town.I love anything outdoors. I love to hike, fish, swim, and climb. Right now I am attending college and plan to major in Biochemistry. My family sells fruit and Christmas trees. I am a member of my local sheriff's office Search and Rescue team in Northern California. I love the mountains and spend a lot of time in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know through the power of the Holy Ghost that the gospel is true. After reading the Book of Mormon I decided to pray to know if it was true. As I prayed, I felt a feeling of comfort, as though every thing was in place. From that day on I knew with all my heart that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the true gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is a second witness of Christ. I know that Jesus is the Christ. He suffered and died so that we can become clean and return to our Father in Heaven. He loves us and is there for us. He has called Prophets to guide us through life. He called the Prophet Joseph Smith to restore the fullness of His gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it contains the fullness of the gospel. It can bring you closer to God than any other book. God has a plan for us and is there for us. If we put our trust in Christ, there is nothing to fear and nothing that we can not accomplish.

How I live my faith

My faith helps me keep my life in balance. I ponder and pray for God's help to remember what is really important and lasting in this life, like my family. My faith is woven into all I do. I pray about my schooling and all my future goals and major life decisions. My faith has given me hope through the hard times and the good times. I am able to look towards my God for help whenever I am feeling discouraged. Every thing around me proves to me that there is a God who cares for me. He knows what I am able to accomplish and wishes for me to reach my full potential.
