Hi I'm Jessica

Just a freedom seeker, wannabe dancer, people lover and a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I couldn't be happier. I have been called to serve in the beautiful land of Sweden. Such a blessing. Before I was a missionary, I was a college student, working hard to get good grades so I can hopefully be accepted into my university's accounting program. Never in my life did I think I would pursue a career as a CPA, but one introductory accounting class in college and I knew it was the profession for me. Believe it or not, all the accountants I've run into are not boring beyond description and they actually have some pretty fascinating lives. I like to consider myself a runner. Cross-country and track consumed a lot of my time in high school and my passion for running has stuck. I enjoy playing the piano or reading a good book in my free time and chocolate is the fastest way to my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But I am a Mormon because I chose to be. When I was in middle school, I decided it was time for me to know if the Church was true. I had been reading the Book of Mormon every day for a while and one day after studying its words, I knelt and prayed. An undeniable feeling of love and peace came over me and I knew God was telling me the Book of Mormon is true. And if that book is true, it follows that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and he restored Christ's Church to the earth. The Church is led today by a prophet and apostles of God. Jesus Christ suffered and died for my sins and through His grace I can become better than I ever would be on my own. I have received a witness of the truth of all these things as I have exercised faith and prayed. I feel God's love all around me. I see it in the beauty of the mountains right outside my window at home. I feel it as I read the scriptures, go to church and serve others. We are all God's children and everyone has something to contribute to the world. I am a Mormon because I can return to God by living the gospel of the Church. As I strive to become more like God each day, He has blessed me with peace and the knowledge that I am on the right path. I am a Mormon because I love my God.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary for the Church in Stockholm, Sweden. I have left my home for 18 months to share Christ's gospel and the happiness I have because of Him. It is one of the greatest things in this world to devote every hour of every day to serving Jesus Christ and God's children.
