Hi I'm Dorene

I grew up in West Valley City, Utah. Born and Raised in the Gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old. I adore stories and books! I could spend all day with a book in my hands. I have a longing to travel everywhere and learn many languages. I'm a quiet person, but once you have me talking I dont stop.I want to be a bit more social but for now i like being me. Music is my life blood, classical, rock, indie, etc. are all so amazing and inspiring to me!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? I was born into it. Everyday I lived, breathed, and slept in this religion. It was a way of life for me. And I continued to live its comandments. Then when I turned 8, I was given the choice of baptisim. Later on I really did wonder if this was all true. I began living my way different than the one I had lived up until now. I felt I was missing something in my day to day life since I started to live differently. Then I understood that, no one can take away your religion and change except yourself. You can make the decisions in your life. Its what Jesus fought for and what I have the freedom to accept on not. And I did. I live the comandments day to day because I wanted this for myself. I CHOOSE to live the comandments because they are what i feel is right. I live because I want to better myself not mentally and physically but spiritually as well. I want to change my life as well as others for the better.

How I live my faith

I used to help the young women in our church. All the activities are very fun, and camping is amazing with them. They really open up to you when there isn't so much of the world there to interfere. Nature has a very amazing trait that helps us apperciate it a lot more than we all do today. Visiting others also, not only helps us but it helps the people as well. When they are in need of assistance we can offer our help willingly.
