Hi I'm Tacy

I was raised on a dairy farm. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love the Lord, my family, the great nation I live in, the beauties of nature, animals, good books, movies that make me laugh, traveling and listening to uplifting music. I was a Registered Nurse but I retired when I started having children. I served a mission for the Church to Columbia, South America. I loved the people there and I can still speak some Spanish. I have a loving husband and three wonderful children, each of whom is married to a great spouse. And I have five beautiful grandchildren that I love very much. I love people and I love to serve and help others.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? First, I would have to answer, “Why do I believe in God?” Since I was a youngster, my mother would tell us of her deep belief in God and the power of prayer. She told us of stories from her youth, in which she had prayed and received answers. An example is when her dog turned up missing and she prayed for its safe return. After three days her prayers were answered when she heard scratching on the door, and upon opening the door she discovered that her dearly beloved pet had returned. She knew her Heavenly Father had answered her prayers. Her parents taught her that the Lord would always be there for her. When she went to bed and was scared she was encouraged to pray to her Heavenly Father and he would be there for her and comfort her. I, too, wanted to believe and to be assured that their truly is a God and that he loves us and is there for us. Through sincere and heartfelt prayer, I have learned for myself that there is a God and he truly hears and answers our prayers and is interested in our wellbeing. Why am I a Mormon? There again my mother set an example and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved the church and its teachings. I wanted to know for myself if the church was true. I prayed and read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. In seeking for an answer as I read the scriptures and prayed sincerely, I found a profound peace and an overwhelming assurance that the church and the Book of Mormon are true. The Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible can guide us and help us follow Our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Bountiful Utah LDS Temple, which is a beautiful building where members of the LDS church come to worship, serve, and draw closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I volunteer as a reading tutor at a local elementary school. I visit two ladies in our local congregation each month to ensure they are doing well and to share a spiritual message with them. I also serve as the secretary for the women's organization in our congregation, whose role is to help lift and inspire women to become all they can be.
