Hi I'm Kason

I love my family. I play the drums. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently helping the people of Houston, Texas learn of their Savior and receive the blessings of His Gospel. I love teaching, preaching, and testifying of my Lord and God! I love people, and when they are filled with the light of Christ it brings me joy as well. I love learning; school is a joy for me. Apart from school, I enjoy music. In fact, I love music! I play piano, guitar, clarinet and the drums. Of all these, the drums are my favorite. My parents bought me a set when I was 12, and ever since then I have hit, tapped and banged those drums. I played in my high school's pep band/jazz band, and have played in several local bands. The only thing I love more than my music is my family. My parents, older sister and two younger brothers are the center of my life, and I would do anything for them. The Gospel blesses my life most prominently because I have a sure testimony of the eternal nature of my family. I am blessed to be with them forever, and that knowledge is so comforting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it is truth. It is not just a vehicle for good morals. Jesus Christ DOES live, He DID die for me, and because of that I CAN live eternally with my family. It is real, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Eternal Father. He is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. He is sinless, selfless, and perfectly loving. I show my faith in Him by keeping His commandments. I trust Him! I know that He would give me commandments only to help me. Whether that means going to church every Sunday, reading the Book of Mormon, preparing to enter His holy temple, or anything else, I trust Him.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

All Mormons are not required to serve an 18 to 24 month mission. However, every disciple of Jesus Christ is expected to be a light to the world! "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven". That call from the Savior echoes in my heart, and I live each day striving to carry His light into someone's life! Show more Show less
