Hi I'm Jedd Tibbitts

I live in a wonderful town called Salmon, Idaho. I love to play sports, hunt, fish, ride horses and rope. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello everyone! I am currently a Senior and I love to play sports! They have been such a help and blessing in my life and I've learned so many lessons from them. One quick story about sports I'd like to share is my junior year in the winter. My dad has always wanted me to wrestle, but I've always loved playing basketball. One day my dad asked why I didn't just try both. After speaking with both coaches and my family, we decided that I should play basketball and wrestle during the same season. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but it was so worth it. I learned how to push my body when I'm completely exhausted, but most of all I learned to do hard things. I am so grateful for the hard experience. I've enjoyed success in the sports I've played, but all of it has come through my loving Heavenly Father. He has blessed me and given me a body and a mind capable of succeeding in sports and for that I am grateful. Right now I am preparing to serve a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm still trying to decide whether to go play college football or basketball upon my return home. I'm not sure yet, but I know that my Heavenly Father will help me figure that out. Along with sports I love the outdoors. I love to ride horses and rope cattle. I think one of my favorite things to do is branding calves when roping is involved. It is so much fun and I love doing it with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Mormon church because I know that it is the true church. It has the complete and full truth. I wouldn't be preparing to serve a mission if I didn't believe it is true. This church has brought so much happiness to my life and I want every person to be able to experience the peace, joy, and happiness I feel. It isn't always easy. Life is never easy, but this church makes it so much easier. It helps me in every aspect of life. I know that there is a loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that they love each and every one of us. I know that Jesus Christ died for us and through his sacrifice we are able to return and live with him some day. I know that families can be together forever through performing sacred ordinances. I know that the only way to return to our Heavenly Father and obtain eternal happiness is through Jesus Christ and his church. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that through the power of God he translated the Book of Mormon and restored the fullness of Jesus' Christ church to the earth today. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have prayed about it and received an answer of its truthfulness. I encourage everyone who can to read the Book of Mormon and to pray about it. In the last book in the Book of Mormon there is a promise given to us by a prophet named Moroni. It is called Moroni's promise and it says if we ask Heavenly Father in prayer if the book be true he will make it known unto us. I invite everyone to find a Book of Mormon go to Moroni chapter 10 verses 3-5 and to read them, ponder them, and get down on your knees and ask Heavenly Father with a sincere heart, with faith in Christ, and with real intent if the Book of Mormon is true. I promise you that if you do that and ask Heavenly Father with those three things, that he will make the truth of all things known unto you. I close this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Right now I am preparing to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS Church). I've noticed so many changes in my life as I've begun to prepare. I'm looking forward to going out on my own and serving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for two years. Each Sunday my Dad and I teach a class in my ward of 10 and 11 year old children. They are such a joy to be around and I learn so much from them. The are so kind and I wish I could be more like them sometimes. Each day at school I attend Seminary which is an LDS sponsored class. It is in a separate building, but it is the best part of my school day and I learn so much and have such a fun time going there.
