Hi I'm Trey

I grew up in Tennessee. I have raised my family in Tennessee. I'm a country boy. I'm a Mormon and that's good enough for me.

About Me

I love working with my hands. Knowing my family history you could say that it's in my blood. I learned from holding the flashlight for my dad while he worked on the family car when I was little. By trade I am a machinist turned maintenance man. Who I really am can be better described by my family. I have been married to a most beautiful wife for nearly twenty-eight years. We have three children, three children by marriage, and two sweet granddaughters. This family best defines me as a Christian, as a husband, and as a father. It is through their support I am able to serve in my church callings where I feel closest to my Savior. In the words of the prophet King Benjamin, "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God."

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I were baptized members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was nine years old. I remember as a youth the first time being taught of God and who he truly is, that he is my Father in Heaven and someone whom I can know and have a personal relationship with. I learned that more than anything he wants me to be happy. I once viewed the commandments as being restrictive, stopping me from doing the things that I wanted to do. During my high school years I discovered that these "restrictions" were actually the best fatherly advise a young man could receive. One of the greatest truths I have learned is I am a child of God, that I was born with the agency to choose right from wrong. As I make good choices I am naturally happier. Now that I am the ripe old age of 49, I look back and marvel of all the blessing in my life. These blessings are a direct benefit of living the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I may not know all the mysteries of the universe, but I do know that God lives, Jesus is the Christ, and through his atoning sacrifice I can be forgiven. ( I don't always make the best choices)

How I live my faith

I believe, as a Christian, my first responsibility lies within my role as a husband. I see my wife as the Queen of our family. Rule number one is to protect the Queen, no one has the right to harm her, this includes myself. I try to live ever aspect of my life as if she were by my side. We share the responsibility of our children and their welfare. We have raised our daughters and our son to love the Lord, to be independent and self-reliant so that they may find true happiness in serving others. I love my Father in heaven, he has blessed my life beyond words. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior. It is through his atoning sacrifice that I can live forever in the kingdom of my God with my family.
