Hi I'm Vianey Aguayo

I am a Chemistry Major, I draw, sing and play several instruments, I am from a small town, I go to BYU-Idaho and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 19 years old, I am attend BYU-Idaho majoring in Chemistry, I enjoy baking, cooking, drawing, sewing and I like playing the violin, piano and ukulele. I enjoy reading and helping others through service. I have been recently called to serve a mission in the North Denver Colorado Mission. I enjoy life and have a very optimistic personality. I try to share the gospel with everyone I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, I grew up in the church my whole life, I participated in primary and young women's, I learned the gospel and the teachings but when I was 10 years old my parents separated, that led to a divorce that resulted me becoming inactive. I made choices that weren't good and I went far from the straight and narrow path. With the help of Heavenly Father and the power of the atonement I was able to find my way back to the gospel of Christ. It took me several years to forgive myself for the mistakes I had made, but I had help and I had support from my family and my ward. Now I am preparing to serve a mission, to help those who were once lost like I was to help them find their way back home. I have been blessed so much and I honestly feel like I don't deserve any of it, but Heavenly Father loves me that much that he is merciful and forgiving. I know this church is the true church, I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know Joseph Smith restored our gospel and I know we have a living prophet today. I know the atonement is real, I know Heavenly Father is always there and I love this gospel with all my heart. Jesus Christ is the only way to true happiness and everlasting life he is the only way. I am so glad to be apart of his church and learn his teachings and doctrines. I have been to other churches and I feel like they are all missing something, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church here on earth. I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves me, and I know he has a different plan for me then I ever intended. I love him with all my heart and so grateful for everything I have. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways, I have been called into several positions in my ward, I taught primary for awhile, and helped my grandmother, mother and other leaders organized events for my ward. I try to always be in the service of others and giving them a helping hand, I try to be an example at all times and be like Jesus Christ and follow his teachings. I am currently preparing to serve a mission so I have been doing missionary study. I like sharing the gospel whenever I can. I am currently serving a mission in North Denver Colorado.
