Hi I'm Erich

I am a runner, a brother, a college student, a collegiate athlete, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 5 siblings (3 younger brothers and a baby sister), an engineering student, and an avid runner. I competed with my high school cross country and distance track teams and was blessed to be able to continue on the collegiate level for a Division 1 university. I love music, and I was heavily involved with band, where I played the trumpet. I played from a very young age through high school, until I had to stop my playing to focus on my athletics, but that doesn't stop my obsession with music. I am the guy who always had at least one headphone in. I was also heavily involved in several choirs throughout elementary and high school. I love camping, hiking, and generally being in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church to loving parents who were married and sealed in the temple for time and all eternity. I know through personal prayer and revelation that this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is God's restored gospel on the earth today. I've had too many experiences that speak to me that there is a loving Heavenly Father who sent His son to perform the Atonement for me and all of his children. I know that if I follow His teachings and commandments, I can live with my family for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I served as a home teacher, where me and my dad would visit a specific in the neighborhood family at least once a month to see how they were doing and offer service. Once I moved away from home to go to college, I was called to organize and set up activities for the students in my student congregation. I am now currently serving a mission in Columbus Ohio area, helping to spread the gospel and help people come closer to Christ.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement is where Christ took upon Himself the pains and sins of the world. The agony from this caused Him to bleed from every pore. It is through this that we can re-enter God's presence in the next life. Show more Show less
