Hi I'm Mikal

I was born in London. I work in Water Loss Management. I enjoy walking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father. I have a beautiful wife and four wonderful children. I have worked for Severn Trent Water (the UK's 2nd largest water company) for over 10 years. I specialise in water loss management. I enjoy my work which involves finding new and better ways of accounting for and reducing water loss. I enjoy being involved in the community and have served on the parish council within my village. I like walking and running and have taken part in a couple of 20 mile hikes for charities. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my family, we love going to the Lake District in the north of England.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me. It has shaped my whole life. Through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I have had so many opportunities to grow and develop. One of the expectations of church which has really benefited me - is the expectation to do your best. As a young man I didn't initially work as hard at school as I should have. However through lessons I received at church and the teaching I received from two dedicated parents I learnt that Jesus Christ expected me to do my best. As I started to work hard, I was able to obtain grades that allowed me to go to university. It was while at university I met my wife. My wife is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We have been married for over 12 years. We can't imagine life without the Church or the gospel of Jesus Christ. It really does shape our everyday and how we bring up our children. I know the happiness we have in our family comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. As a family we pray and read scriptures on daily basis. We attend church each week. I provide training to those who teach lessons at church. I also do some teaching myself. I support my wife who works very hard in bringing up our four children and in her volunteer work.
