Hi I'm Kendrick J. Buckley

I enjoy learning, I love to play baseball, A good joke never hurt anybody, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest of four children and oldest grandson on both sides of my family. I am a shy person at first but once you get to know me I can be really fun. I enjoy card games and quality time with family, whether that be inside or outside. I enjoy school and, not just for the people, but for the classes that I take. I am hoping to get a medical or buisness degree. I enjoy star gazing it sometimes helps to clear my mind. Family is a really big thing for me as that is how I became who I am today. I enjoy outdoor sports, especially baseball. Jesus Christ is my Savior and I am so thankful for His love. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon! I know that it truly is the word of God. Prayer is a big thing in my life. We all go through trials and I have seen prayer really help as these trials come. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ church on the Earth today.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad is a convert to the church, and my mother was born in the covenant. My dad converted to the church when I was a baby after he witnessed the power of a priesthood blessing given to my mother during my birth. This is where it all started for my family. Though my father joined and brought us to church with him, that is not why I am Mormon. I am Mormon because I have chosen for myself to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ found in this church. I have studied, pondered, and prayed. I have received answers to my prayers through the Spirit of the Lord that have confirmed the truth that I was taught growing up. I have read the Book of Mormon and know it is the Word of God. I am Mormon because I had great examples growing up and ultimately chose to act for myself.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something that I take very seriously. There are many ways that we can live our faith. I strive to be like my Savior, Jesus Christ. Though I am not perfect I trust that He is and helps me day by day. Some of the ways that I find help me to live my faith and be the best person I can are prayer and scripture study. I love prayer! It is so amazing to me that God, our Heavenly Father, wants to hear from us. He cares for us and desires to help us in any way He can. As I pray I know that He is listening and answers my prayers. Scripture study is also very important, especially from the Book of Mormon, I have been able to see my life change as I have made an effort to study the word of God. I strive to serve others when I can and to lend a happy smile to anyone I can.
