Hi I'm Christer

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy my family and friends. Differences in culture interest me quite a bit and I hope to one day travel much of the world; particularly Eastern Europe. Growing up I lived in many places which allowed me to see that peoples differences are a blessing that makes the world go round. I grew up in a semi active family and it helped me to see just how much the church blessed my life. After I return from my mission to Washington State I will be attending college in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with a single mother and most of our family are not members; however, my grandpa is a priesthood holder and when I turned eight I wanted to be baptized, this ultimately led my mother back into the church. Many years later she remarried and we were sealed for time and all eternity. I am a Mormon because to me this gospel not only makes sense, but it gives me peace to know that my family can be together forever. Many times people mix the LDS Faith with the LDS Culture, but I promise that if you give the gospel a chance, you will never go back. The gospel of Jesus Christ is truly wonderful. It provides a way for every single one of Gods children because he loves us individually. I promise that the teachings of Jesus Christ were prepared for all of mankind and that we need merely take it.

How I live my faith

I participate in Priests Quorum and direct the youth. When I am in school people often ask me questions about my faith and I gladly answer them. In the church we talk about service being an attribute of Christ; in school I participate in PALs. PALs is an organization that allows me to travel to local elementary schools to help kids with their reading and math facts, I love to see them progress in their learning. Also I am preparing myself to enter the temple and then serve a mission.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

After we die our spirit leaves our body and we are all placed within two waiting stages. For those who accepted the gospel on earth and lived their lives worthily they are placed in the "Spiritual Paradise"; those that haven't "Spiritual Prison". These worlds are not our finally estate but rather a transition before the final judgment. In this stage those in the spiritual paradise will teach those in the spiritual prison in the hopes that they too will accept the gospel, so that they may enter the spiritual paradise. This is why we do baptisms for the dead. These proxy works in the temple allow for those spirits in spiritual prison to accept the gospel and enter membership into the kingdom of God. When the second coming happens and after the millennium, that will be when the final judgment comes, and our final estates will be given by the judgment of God. Show more Show less
