Hi I'm Madi Stone

I'm a musician, language learner, dog lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've spent years studying Japanese and German and absolutely love how language ties cultures and people together. I sing and play the piano, guitar, viola, etc. Music and language are some of the best ways we can invite the gospel into our lives. I'm a student at BYU-Idaho, and preparing to leave on a mission early 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon simply because it sets me free. As cheesy as that sounds, the gospel provides so much of the comfort and peace I have in my life. There seems like there's a lot of counsel and "rules" that we have to follow, but in actuality, they're there to protect us so that we don't have to suffer the pain and consequences that come after wrongdoing. In the gospel, I feel loved and accepted and I have the fellowship of the church and the love of Christ to thank for that. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy and is the source of true joy in this life.

How I live my faith

I used to perform semiannually in an incredible choir & symphony organization led by members of the church called Zion's Youth Symphony & Choir. I continually strive to touch people's hearts with my music and to lift others with the light and love of Christ through my actions and example. I also served as a volunteer ambassador on BYUI's campus where I gave campus tours to incoming students. I know that by willingly serving our community, we not only receive blessings but feel a lot happier in doing so.
