Hi I'm Christian Tadje

Future missionary in the Peru Lima East Mission!

About Me

My name is Christian Phillip Tadje. I'm eighteen years old and I graduated from Eagle High School in the class of 2014. I have five younger brothers and one younger sister. I grew up moving around a lot, I spent time in Utah, Virginia, Michigan, Nevada, Tennessee, and finally found a more permanent home in Eagle, Idaho where I finished my middle and high school years. In high school, I participated in basketball, track, cross country, and ultimate frisbee. My favorite memories were time spent with friends, time skiing, and on the lake. I was very involved in Student Council and other leadership opportunities. In May of 2014, I opened my mission call to serve in the Peru Lima East Mission and to report on September 24th, so I have been preparing to serve the Lord for two years. I can't wait to be a missionary! After my fall 2016 return, I will attend Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me more joy than anything else. The Savior's love for me is always there, while friends and earthly things can bring temporary happiness, my Savior's love is constant and eternal. I am a Mormon because if I follow the commandments, I can live with my family forever which is my most important relationship on Earth. Being a Mormon also gives me work ethic, empathy for others, service opportunities, and emergency preparedness. The standards of our church have helped me make it through my teenage years without addiction. I'm a Mormon because I know that even when I am at a low point in my life or am struggling with personal issues, I know that I have a community around me that wants me to succeed and progress in the Gospel and are willing to help me through my problems. I am a Mormon because the gospel is centered around service and love.

How I live my faith

I have decided to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from September 2014 to September 2016 in Lima, Peru. If I didn't have faith in my Savior and my Heavenly Father, I would not have made this decision and give up my family, friends, schooling, and a career. I live my faith by striving to be a constant example of Christ in my words and in my actions. I strive to serve others like Christ did during his time on Earth. I attend church every week for three hours, which many view as a large time commitment. I know that I will be blessed and spiritually enriched by giving this time to draw closer to the Savior and my Father in Heaven every week. I also live my faith by studying the scriptures and praying to God daily.
