Hi I'm John

I was born in Canada and now live in sunny California . I don't like winter weather.

About Me

I have been married to my best friend for the past 28 years. I am the father of identical twin sons, a beautiful daughter and grandfather of three. I have worked in the sports medicine field, out patient physical therapy and now in the short term recovery wing of a skilled nursing facility. I love helping people reach the peak of their physical abilities whatever the peak may be. It has been and is a rewarding career. I try to stay in shape myself by working out regularly. Running was the preferred method until my L knee began to fade. I'm trying to enjoy cycling and circuit training again but to relax, I head to golf course.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God answered my prayers when I asked to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. My family has been in the church for generations but each individual still has need to ask God and become converted. I have studied the scriptures and hear the voice of Jesus Christ throughout the Old and New Testament, the Book of Mormon/Another Testament of Jesus Christ, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. The teachings of the church help me to avoid some of the pitfalls of life and give me the tools to tackle the challenges and trials that come my way. I know it is true by personal revelation and by following the example of the Savior.

How I live my faith

I strive to stay close to my Savior Jesus Christ by daily personal worship of scripture study, pondering and prayer. Many opportunities to serve others in the church have been mine. In the last 15 years I have done everything twice; early morning seminary teacher, primary worker and bishop. I really love helping people reach their spiritual peak, no matter where we have to start.
