Hi I'm Cindy

I love God and Jesus Christ. I know they love us and I love the plan they have designed for our happiness.

About Me

I've been a high school Spanish teacher, a stay-at-home mom, piano instructor, Creative Memories consultant, the executive director of a small non-profit health sharing organization and currently I am a case manager for a personal injury law firm. I grew up in Seattle, WA and have lived in Indiana, California and Utah as an adult. I've traveled to Spain, France, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Canada and all over the US. I love being active and outdoors, hiking, biking, boating, running and walking my dog. I have an amazing husband, three grown kids, two girls and a boy and 5 step-children, a boy and 4 girls. I also have very cute grandkids that bring me great joy. Our family enjoys movies, games, music and vacations together. I love to scrapbook & blog to records our memories. I also love to play the piano in my spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that taught me and lived the Mormon faith, but I have had to learn and decide for myself if that was the path I wanted to follow as well. As a youth, I saw all the many blessings I had from participating in this religion and was grateful to God for his goodness. I studied the church teachings by attending an early morning religion class for 4 years during my high school years. I pondered and prayed about what I was learning. I wanted to know if Joseph Smith truly saw God & Jesus Christ, if the Book of Mormon truly was translated from gold plates, if our leaders truly were prophets & apostles, if this church was truly the one with God's authority. After diligent study, prayer and sometimes fasting, I did get an answer through the Holy Ghost that these things were true. I have had continuous witnesses throughout my life over and over again to remind me of these truths. I have had prayers answered, seen miracles, been guided by our scriptures & prophets to resolve problems and challenges in my life. I have no doubt that living my religion and believing and trusting in Christ is the only way to true & lasting joy in this life and in the world to come. I know Christ is the Savior of the world. There is power and grace in accepting his atonement and living his teachings. His way is the way to peace in this world. I am truly a better person because I've chosen to believe and live as a member of Christ's church.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others in my church and community. I currently am a Sunday instructor & mentor to the 12-13 year old young women in my ward. I love to help them learn the gospel and reach goals they set for themselves to become all they can be. I've also taught Primary children, ages 4-5 & 7-8. I've played piano for our church choir many years and for meetings. I love to bring a good spirit in through music, it is the universal language of the heart. I enjoy making friends by being a visiting teacher to other women in my ward. We share our successes, fears, worries, special events together and love and support one other during the ups and downs of life. I stay involved in my community by staying informed of local political issues. I have served as my precinct secretary for two years. I have served in my children's schools in the past and I volunteer during our city-wide celebration in June each year.
