Hi I'm Gary

Hey'ya Everybody! I grew up in Logan, Utah, USA. I play the euphonium (kinda looks like a half-sized tuba) and IM A MORMON! :)

About Me

To start off, I was born in Salt Lake City but when I was four my parents moved us to Logan, Utah. That is where I call home. My parents divorced when I was young and I grew up with my mom struggling to make a living for me and my four siblings. In 2011 due to one of life's curve-balls I moved in with my aunt and uncle in West Valley City. That was probably the best thing that could have happened to me because I was able to get away from situations in Logan that was leading me down the wrong path. In West Valley through the guidance of positive friends, great cousins, and my new parents I was able to prepare to serve the Lord on a full time mission and developed skills necessary for the rest of my life. Currently (September, 2014) I am serving my mission in the Canada Calgary Mission and I am LOVING life!

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons why I am a Mormon. It is the faith of my mother, and as such I grew up in it. I've seen many miracles in my life that I cannot deny. It makes me happy, I love going to church, I love the standards of the church, etc. But the biggest reason I can think of as to why I am a Mormon is because I know that it is true. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father, and I know that there is a plan for us to be happy eternally. Christ is central to that plan, without him we wouldn't have a way to become free from sin. We would always feel guilt for the mistakes of the past and that would lead us to eternal despair. I know it's true, that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The best way I try to live my faith is by constantly asking myself what the next step is in becoming more like Christ. If there is service I can give, that is the next step. If I am called to a position in the church, I magnify that calling the best I can by looking for the "next step" in that calling. On my mission, I look for what that next step is in bringing souls unto Christ. I actively strive to become like Jesus in doing this and as a result I have found happiness in constant progression. Keep climbing up the mountain, because the sight at the top is wonderful!
