Hi I'm Katrina

I live in the Philippines. I grew up in Visayas particularly in Negros Oriental. I am a Filipina. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love singing very much. I also dance, play a little bit of guitar and started learning piano. I was a varsity player of Table Tennis when I was still in my high school life and also very active in any extra curricular activities at school such as, inter-school singing competition and any other activities. When I reached college I joined a theater club in our University named Tinik ng Teatro and started to enhance my talent in acting. Church youth activities helped me a lot to share and expose my talent in front of many people. I used to perform at church whenever their are youth conference or in other events in the stake or ward. I love sharing my talent and also want to teach other youth in discovering and improving their talents.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the covenant. Means my father and mother was already member in the church when my mother delivered me. I grew up in the church with a very active family. I got baptized when I was still 8 years old. In that time my knowledge about the Savior was not that clear because I was still so very busy playing with my friends in primary. Even my testimony, I used to have a borrowed testimony until 15 years old. I am grateful with my very diligent gospel teacher who always reminds me on what to do, and that is my mom. I started reading the Book of Mormon when I was 16 years old, but I started to have my own testimony when I reached 18 years old. It really took me so many years to gain my own testimony about the Savior and that is because of the destruction of Satan in the lives of the youth. I know that only through serious studying the scriptures, praying always, going to church every Sunday, keeping the commandment of God, listening to the words of prophets and many more ways of the Lord, we will be guided in this mortal life and will be preserved to obtain Eternal Life. I am grateful because I have come to know more about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, on how He suffered from our sins. I felt the pure love of Christ for us, even the love of our Heavenly Father when He gave His only begotten son for us. I know that only through obedience to His commandments we may go back to His presence someday. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and it has the Fullness of the Gospel. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true Church here on earth because it has the perfect teachings of Jesus Christ and is helping me to follow His perfect example. I know Heavenly Father loves me and I witnessed His love for me. I know this things to be true in Jesus Christ name. Amen.

How I live my faith

When I'm still in my youth days, I was very active in sharing my talents and helping other youth learn new song or dance for our presentations. My leaders really gave their best effort, time, concern and love to us, for us to know how to value our talents. When I reached 18 years of age I was called to become a young women president in our new branch. Not expecting this grate calling but with no hesitation I accepted this with all my heart because I know this was a calling from the Lord and Heavenly Father. In that same time I was also called as chorister and branch missionary in our branch. I was filled with so much blessings because of my callings. I was able to apply all things I have learned from my youth days and shared to my young women. Also as a young women president I have the privileged to teach them about the gospel of Jesus Christ and because of that I've come to know more my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I also became closer to Them and my desire to follow the examples of Jesus Christ became deeper. I was able to build a strong foundation of my faith and testimony about the Church and the Book of Mormon . I've learned how to become grateful in every big or small things I am receiving each day. I am so happy and grateful for these wonderful things happening in my life. I am now 21 years old, no husband and children yet but will serve a full-time mission here in the Philippines. I was called to serve in Philippines Olongapo Mission and will be entering the Missionary Training Center on this coming June 6,2014. I am very grateful for this wonderful privileged Heavenly Father has given me. I know His plans for me and I will follow Him cause I am His daughter.
