Hi I'm Sierra Samowitz

I am originally from Houston, Texas; but I was raised in Utah. I am a Mormon, and I love the Gospel.

About Me

I am originally from Houston, Texas, but I have spent a lot of my life in Utah. I am currently serving in the Japan Nagoya Mission. I am very athletic, and love to exercise! I sing, and dance, just for fun. I have done theater most of my life. I did gymnastics, and Ariel Acrobatics, and I love to rock climb. I am an avid reader, and LOVE movies. I want to be a screen writer and director when I get home from my mission. I am big into languages, I speak a little of 7 languages, fluent in 3 (will be 4 in about a year from my mission) and I love cultures and study about them as much as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel saved my life, I owe My God everything I have to offer, and more. I had a lot of struggles in my life, and through the gospel, and the atonement of Jesus Christ, I was able to find myself and what I stand for to overcome my difficulties. I found meaning to my life, my true joy. My Savior is the most important part of my life, I love Him and my Father in Heaven. I know this is the true church and that one day, if I am faithful, I will be able to return home to Him. I believe with all of my heart all of the teachings in the Gospel. I love to learn more about it everyday, and I love to pray to my Father in Heaven. I am very open about my story, if you want to learn more, just ask.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission. I preach my beloved gospel to those who have an open heart and mind to listen to what I have to offer them. I live all of the commandments with a happy attitude. I try to live my life as an example to those around me.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Sierra Samowitz
Joseph Smith was a wonderful man who lived in the early 1800's and as a young child was curious about Faith and which church to join. At 14 years old Joseph went to pray for an answer. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him to join none of the churches, a couple years later Joseph received visitations from angels, or Heavenly Messengers, who taught him what he needed to know to restore the Gospel onto the earth. He was a prophet called of God just as in ancient times. As years went by he was able to fully restore the gospel on the earth. He was a beloved man, and a true prophet of God. Show more Show less
