Hi I'm Megan

I am the oldest in my family. I have four awesome little brothers. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college. I love to sing, and had the amazing opportunity to sing in the April 2014 General Conference. I play volleyball and basketball...not well!...But I enjoy both these sports!

Why I am a Mormon

Having grown up in the church, people sometimes assume that you don't have to be converted to the gospel. This is not true. Every member, whether they were born into an LDS family or are investigating the church have to find out for themselves that the church is true. Like you, I've heard many stories of something really amazing happening to someone where suddenly they were converted, this was not the case with me. My conversion became deeper and deeper every day that I studied the Gospel. And my testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, continues to grow. I have come to know the truth by pondering the scriptures, asking my Father in Heaven, and experimenting upon the Word. I truly believe that the key to conversion is experimenting upon the Word. If I hadn't prayed, fasted, kept the commandments, gone to church, read my scriptures, and strived to be obedient, I never would have known how happy doing these things makes me! I know that this church is true because I can't find this kind of true joy anyplace else. The Book of Mormon is the Word of God! It's true! Joseph Smith was a true Prophet. Like Lehi of old (and many other prophets), he saw God the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know this happened because the Holy Ghost has testified to me, in my heart and in my mind, that these things are true. I love God, and I love His plan of happiness that was made for each of us in order to return and live with Him. I know the truth, and it matters, I makes a difference in my life, and I know it will make a difference in yours too!

How I live my faith

I teach the 16-17 year old Sunday School in my home ward with my mom. It's so fun to be able to talk about the gospel with the youth! They know so much, and they teach me something new each week!
