Hi I'm Sister Emma Truax

I'm a missionary serving in Kyiv Ukraine. I'm an actress studying at BYU. I've moved all over the US. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I am currently serving a full time mission for the church! I am serving in the Kyiv Ukraine mission. Before my mission I attended Brigham Young University where I studied acting. I have been involved in theater all my life. I love children and I hope to be able to one day open a children's theater, or be a drama therapist. I have lived in all different kinds of places. I have moved over 20 times in my life. I have 6 brothers and sisters. 3 of them are adopted siblings from Ukraine. My three greatest loves are The gospel, My family, and Acting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the feeling I get when God tells me that this church is true. I am a Mormon because of the absolute and utter joy that fills my soul when I think, talk, and live this gospel. I am a Mormon because even when I am feeling sadness, discouragement, guilt, pain, heartache, and failure I can turn to my Savior and he can lift me up and help me achieve greater heights. I am a Mormon because I love God and I love my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving those around me. Currently I am showing that love to others by serving a mission. I love Gods children so much that I chose to give up 18 months of my life so that I can help them feel of God's love and give them the blessing of this gospel. Attending church weekly is one of the ways I am strengthened to feel Gods love for me and for others. I love feeling of His spirit and taking the Sacrament weekly. I have had many different leadership callings throughout my life. I have been involved in Relief society, family home evening group leader, been a member of the service committee and much more. In all of these callings I have learned that the most important way to serve and to live my faith is by loving everyone. I have really learned to love people and see them through God's eyes and feel the love that God has for them. It is incredible to see how beautiful and divine everyone is.
