Hi I'm Stephen Blue

I grew up in Negros Occidental, Philippines. I love to read the Scriptures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read the scriptures. My profession is an Electronics Engineer. I have a lot of hobbies since then - event organizing, making videos, editing pictures, writing stories, song writing, music producing, & reading. I am a bit quiet but I love to talk to people who shares their story. I also love learning. I love to serve people. I love my family. I love my mom. I love the Church. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was baptized when she was 16 with her mother (my grandmother). On the other side, my father was baptized when he was in his 20's. They were able to know each other in Church, father then courted mom, and they were later married in Manila Philippines temple. Basically, I grew up as a Mormon already. Then, it came to a point that I personally sought to know who is Jesus Christ even more. I then started studying seriously the New Testament and I was able to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. Then, I started to study The Book of Mormon and honestly, I have lived the the teachings of Jesus Christ more fully and personally in my life. I was able to know that the Book of Mormon was truly a word of God, and that Joseph Smith was really His prophet. I then saw how the things I have learned in the Church as I grow up have blessed me. That before, I do the things I learn because I was taught to do them. Now, I do them because it is the only best and intelligent way to do things here on Earth. I don't know everything yet but what I am learning in the Church, based on experiences, have always given me that light, good feeling everytime I do them that I can definitely say that they are from God. I have also known for myself that the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the President, his counselors, and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, as what we call them) are really the prophets, seers, and revelators of the only true and living God. I regard them the same respect as with the prophets in times of old. That's why I'm a Mormon. I love to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures as often as I could, usually daily, as I strive to serve and be a blessing to other people. I'm a Sunday School teacher since 2011 and I teach lessons every Sunday in one class at church. Sometimes, if given the assignment, I plan activities for our ward. I love Church activities because it does not only provide entertainment but also help me build skills and stronger relationship with other people and at the same time, maintain a high moral standard. I always seek ways to bless other people's lives and to serve. I served a mission [it's a humanitarian service] for the Church in 2014-2016 in Quezon City, Philippines. Throughout my life, I was able to recognize, just personally, that the greatest happiness comes to me when I see other people happy as well. I also saw that the greatest satisfaction of happiness cannot be achieved without the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that's why I always strive to share this Gospel thru telling it to other people and living it [the Gospel] as well. I do tell people if something is bad or not right and I also do tell them what is good, but I never force them to believe or do it. Though I want them to do it, I never force them to do it. I just want them to know and decide to choose. I do it only if I know for myself what is right and what is wrong as I don't know everything yet. I never find it easy, but it was always worth it. Living the Gospel is really worth it. It helps me avoid the feeling of guilt and shame, and I saw that there's no disadvantage in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I just wanted them to be happy.
