Hi I'm Wendi Davis

I am a woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of 12 children. We had a lot of fun together. We learned to work hard, and sacrifice for each other. All I ever wanted to grow up and be was a mother. My mother is a beautiful example of motherhood. I did well in school, working to pay my way. I met and married my husband the spring after graduating from high school. Many people criticize getting married so young but I feel that my life and my religion up to that point had carefully prepared me for the journey ahead. We had our first child a year after our marriage and four more followed over the next 13 years. I have never looked back with regret for the decisions that I made. Being a wife, mother and grandmother as part of an eternal family has given me joy beyond measure. I wouldn't trade where I am in life. Each experience is such a learning experience and each person I come in contact with teaches me something, especially about our divine nature.

Why I am a Mormon

It just feels like I have always known that the gospel is true. I can't really define a specific moment in my life, but I can think of countless moments when I have felt this truth testified within my heart over and over. One of the greatest joys we have as human beings is reaching out to others to help them feel the love of our Loving Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father's great plan of Happiness comes with the blessing of knowing that we can live again, and live with our families for eternity if we obey God's word. I cannot imagine living without knowing that there is a prophet on the earth that receives divine inspiration for each of us, if we will but listen. That same spirit is within each of us and can guide us in our everyday life. Life isn't about looking for personal pleasure. It is truly a test of who and what we will choose to become.

How I live my faith

My favorite calling is the one I am in. Right now I am serving in the nursery with my husband, taking care of 18 month to 3 year olds. They have such a pure spirit and we love each and every one. I love the visiting teaching program of the church. I have had the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful women that are my eternal sisters. I especially look forward to worshiping in a Sacrament Meeting each week where I can renew my covenants with my Heavenly Father. Great blessings come from this weekly renewal.
