Hi I'm Kennen

I'm studying Mechanical Engineering in college, I'm currently serving my mission in Canada, I'm a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music has always been a big part of my life. I listen a ton to alternative rock and some indie rock too. I play piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, and tenor sax as well as sing. I've been in productions, musical and what not, multiple music videos with groups like VanLadyLove, Imagine Dragons, Vocal Point, and Alex Boyé, as well as in choirs and bands. I'm in a band with some friends for which I play bass but I also do some solo work on piano, guitar and singing. I've recorded an entire album with the band and recorded on my own too. I have always loved math and science which is why I have decided to study mechanical engineering. I have finished my freshman year of college but currently I am serving a mission to Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon. Even though I was born into a member family where I learned the values and joy that comes from the gospel I know that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was given the Golden Plates by the Lord and that through the Lord he translated them. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is the word of God. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins and was crucified so that we could be forgiven and return to live with him and our Heavenly Father. Through my trials and struggles I have come to know Christ personally and have a deep gratitude for his sacrifice for me. The Atonement is so important to me in my life because without I would have not made it this far. Anything is possible with Jesus Christ by our side! I know that this church is the true church of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have most recently been President of my priesthood group in a Young Single Adult ward. In this calling I grew to love all of the members in my ward very much. I really learned to see them how God sees them with their limitless potential. In the past I have also participated in the ward choir and been the priesthood accompanist, playing hymns during meetings. Hometeaching has always been a joy because I have come to love those I serve so much! Another way that I love to share my faith is through music. A favorite quote of mine is that "music expresses that which cannot be put into words". I love being able to feel the Holy Ghost in my life while I listen to good music or when I'm singing. It's one way that I share my testimony and get edified myself.
