Hi I'm Oliver K. Myers

I was born and raised in Northern Ohio. I joined the Mormon Church at 17 at the Midwestern Music and Arts Camp.

About Me

I am a bankruptcy attorney and university professor. I served a religious mission in Uruguay, South America. I was married in the temple in Salt Lake City and we have four children. We now enjoy loving five grand-daughters. All four of my children had the privilege of serving missions like me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I became convinced the Church was true many years ago, as a teenager. As I learned the principle of the Gospel, they all seemed familiar to my mind. As an investigator, I was anxious for the missionaries to move to the next topic. I was ready to be baptized and asked to become a member of the Church even though I was far away from home at a Speech Camp. After serving a mission in South America and working in the Church for decades, all my experiences have built my belief that the Church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by learning more about the life of Jesus Christ. I study the Bible and the Book of Mormon to under the Gospel better. I have had opportunity of fulfilling many callings in the Church. I am now the Sunday School President in our Ward. To support my Sunday School teachers, I study the Church lesson manuals each Sunday. Last Sunday, I filled in and taught a lesson from Numbers in the Bible. I and my wife visited one or old friends this week. It was good to share uplifting stories. He has some aches and pains from a fall he suffered a couple weeks ago.
