Hi I'm Logan

I'm English but grew up in 6 different countries. I'm a college student who loves sport, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love culture so much. I have been blessed to live in many countries and learn the beautiful German language. I am currently studying at BYU-Idaho and hope to graduate with an Economic major and cluster in German and political science. I love sports and play almost every sport out there! I am currently on the track and field team here doing High, Long and Triple jump. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made me the person I am today and inspires me to become a better person. I see how being a member of this church has blessed me in every aspect of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I see the blessings of living the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that I can't reach my divine potential without Jesus Christ leading me through the guidance of the Holy Ghost. When I reflect on my religion, I see that this is a church of works, faith, service and love. This is a church that helps all along the path to perfection. I know that nobody is perfect, but I see the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members efforts to become such. I am a Mormon because I know that by living all of the principles that Jesus Christ taught and that this church lives by, I can become the person I want to be as well as who God wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I find it important to live my faith everyday. I strive to serve others and try my best to make progress every day. I study the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father everyday because I need his guidance from on high. The great thing about living my faith, is that by doing so I can truly find joy in my life. I don't see Gods commandments as things that hinder me or restrict me in any way, I see them as things that allow me to be free and become a better person. I love attending church on sundays too. When I go I try to think of goals that will help me with my desire to become more like my savior Jesus Christ. A great scripture that I think about a lot is found in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi Chapter 27 verse 27, here Jesus is talking and he says, "Therefore, what manner of men ought ye to be? Verily I say unto you, even as I am." This scripture helps me avoid things that will waste my time. I wish to be active and engaged in good causes, I wish to help others as well as learn. I am truly grateful for the knowledge that I have acquired from living my faith.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

There are multiple times in ones life when he or she may feel alone, lost, scared, depressed or worried. These feelings, and feeling like them are not easy to bear. The savior can, will and is willing to take these feelings away from us. Jesus Christ took these feelings upon himself, so that he knows what its like for us. This act is what we call the atonement of Jesus Christ. The atonement is truly a gift that one can use to find refuge and relief from life's trials. This gift is not just for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but for all who put their trust in Him. The atonement is also the means by which we can return to live with our Father in Heaven who is God. We know, that no unworthy thing can live in Gods presence (Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi 15:34). A huge part of the atonement, was when Jesus Christ took upon himself the sins of the world, so that through him, we can become clean from our sins by in a sense, giving our sins to Christ. A wonderful scripture that has helped me understand the atonement is found in Alma chapter 7 verses 11-13 (page 225). Show more Show less
