Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Lubbock, Texas and I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Texas girl! I am currently living in Idaho where I am a student and about to graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology. I hope to go to X-ray Technician school in Texas where I can be back in my favorite state and closer to family. I love to sing, dance, and being outside. I am the youngest of five girls and have ten nieces and nephews. My family is everything to me and I love it when we spend time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents raised me to ask and believe things for myself. I always seemed to naturally know that there was a higher power that loved me and cared for me. When I was eight years old, I made the decision to be baptized in the Church. It was the best day of my life to know that in that moment I was following the path of Christ. Since then, I have of course made many mistakes because I am not perfect, but the knowledge that I have a Savior that died for me to redeem me of my sins has always motivated me to try to be better. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me more than anything and will never turn me away from that love. I can feel their love when I am at church, reading my scriptures, serving my fellow men, and listening to his servants that are on the Earth today. When I am praying, I know that He can hear me. It is a crazy thing to comprehend that there are billions of people and that when I am praying He has all attention on me. Because of that, I know that I am never truly alone and that there is always someone watching over me. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that Thomas S. Monson is the current prophet today. I can feel love from God when I hear President Monson speak and know that the words he says are what the Lord wants me to hear. I am so thankful for the temple and knowledge that I have that I can be with my family for all eternity. Being a Mormon has helped me live the best life I possibly could. It has motivated me to stay on the straight path and to try to help others to also be on the path towards Christ. I know that when Christ was on the cross He was thinking of my face and knew that I would be able to live again through Him. I am so thankful that I am apart of this Church and I am proud to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I love to be involved in any and all church activities. My current calling is to be in charge of all of the young single adult women in our community ward. Getting to know them has really helped me learn to love and want to serve them as Christ did. I have also served the youth as a "Especially For Youth" counselor. This program is where youth come and participate in activities so they can learn more about why they are so special and how much they are loved by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It is always amazing to see the transformation of each youth and how just knowing that they are loved by the Almighty can help them have a better outlook on life.
