Hi I'm Ryan

I am serving a mission in Houston Texas, I can solve the Rubik's Cube in under 20 seconds, I have Crohn's Disease, and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a sophomore in college hoping to major in Petroleum Geology or teach geology at a local university. I enjoy playing the piano, hanging out with friends, solving Rubik's Cubes of varying complexities, making youtube videos, and reading. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2008, treated for five years by Remicade, and have been on the SCD diet for the past three years.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little, I was a member of the church because my family was. As I have gotten older, my reasons for staying true to my faith have become more apparent. I am happier when I keep to my standards, and I am more confident in my daily activities. I feel comforted when I am down or in distress. I feel my Savior's love for me each time I turn to Him in prayer. He knows me, and I know Him . . . and I don't know where my life would have taken me if it weren't for my faith in Jesus Christ and my membership in the mormon church. As I study the Book of Mormon, I know it is true by the peace and spirit I feel as I read. I know that we have been placed in this life to be tested, to grow through experience. We are made to experience hardship because God knows how we need to grow physically and spiritually. If we put our trust in Him when we endure hardship and trials, we will become strong.

How I live my faith

As part of my calling, I taught the young men every Sunday about different gospel principles and topics.
