Hi I'm Paul K. Woolley

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, raised in Northern California, I've traveled the entire world and I am Proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I've been in the entertainment industry doing international film distribution for almost 3 decades. I've had the opportunity to travel to almost every country on earth as a result of my industry activities. Where ever I've traveled, I find the same commonality in almost everyone I meet... a desire to know where they came from, why they are here, and where they are going after this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a large family, seven children. Although I was "born" into the church, meaning my Parents were members and we all went to Church as a family, I came to Know for myself that the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was correct and true. While I first read the Book of Mormon cover to cover, I asked my Father in Heaven to help me to know if this was truly scripture, written by the hands of ancient prophets who where inspired by God, and translated by the power of God by a young man without any formal education, Joseph Smith. I received confirmation from that 'still small voice' within me, a burning understanding, a comprehension beyond my own intellectual capabilities, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, (like the Bible) and that Joseph Smith was called of God and that he did translate the Book of Mormon. Since those teenage years, my knowledge has grown and I continue to learn and strengthen my belief and knowledge.

How I live my faith

I live within the boundaries of the Spanish Hills Ward in the Lakes Stake in Las Vegas Nevada. My favorite opportunity as a member of this Ward (aka Church) is Home Teaching, this is where we visit other members within our Ward (church) boundaries and share the gospel, support their families needs and strengthen and support them in any way necessary. I also have the opportunity of attending lessons with those interested in learning about our religion with the Full Time Missionaries. Young Men and Women, at the age of 18 and 19 respectively, serve up to two years as full time missionaries and serve where they are sent. Missionary work is a global effort and these missionaries sacrifice their time to serve others. I served a 2 year mission in Spain, Sevilla. Now I have the opportunity to visit with those the missionaries are teaching to share my beliefs and experiences as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
