Hi I'm Cristin

I have my degree but I stay at home. I have 5 kids and no that is not alot, 10 kids is alot! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm into photography right now. I really like being able to have families portray the love they feel into a portrait. I'm a mother with 5 kids and sometimes it's hard raising children and so I like being able to see their smiling face on the wall, because sometimes, they aren't always smiling! We just moved from a small community into the city and I love the lessons I've learned from small town living! You must say hi and wave to people, even if you don't know them! Help others, even if you don't know them. I want to use these lessons in our new city so I can meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the LDS church all my life. I remember when I was a teenager, I questioned my parents: What if you've been deceived this whole time? I thought my parents would talk to me at length about why the church was true. I was wanting them to. I remember them turning to me and saying: We have a testimony, so you need to find out for yourself. So that has led me on my own journey of learning and asking and praying. I have had experiences that keep reaffirming that I am where I'm supposed to be. I have had experiences testifying that Joseph Smith was a prophet. Just like in the Old Testament we have a prophet today. I rely heavily on prayer. I rely on the gospel and the scriptures to help me in my family. I rely on my Heavenly Father through trials and thank Him for my blessings. I am grateful for His church and that Jesus Christ made it all possible through His example and teachings.

How I live my faith

Right now I've been asked to be a ward missionary. That means that in our church area I help the missionaries as they teach lessons to those wanting to learn what mormons believe. I feel a little anxious talking to others about my beliefs because I don't want them judging me. I have heard and been told many things about "what I believe" and most of it isn't true. These beliefs, experiences and testimonies that I have are very important and have been life changing to me. Others that I have talked to who are very religious are very accepting that I have a faith that I feel strongly about. I love that I have friends of different faiths but we can share our testimonies.
