Hi I'm Louise

I grew up in Southern California. I love to be outdoors enjoying all God's creations. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the first half of the 20th century, just barely (1949). You might think I'm retired, but how does a Mom retire? In fact, I don't ever want to retire! I love being a Mom and a Grandma! I enjoy reading all kinds of books - mysteries, adventures, science fiction, fantasy and biographies too. I love to learn new things. When I was a little girl, I watched my Dad do household repairs and he taught me a lot. I can do minor plumbing fixes, electrical stuff, fix bicycles, build shelves or bunk beds. I enjoy doing things like that. Unfortunately I'm not to good with indoor plants. I like looking for the good things of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 22 years old by a coworker. I watched as she handled difficulties at work without anger toward those who were being unfair to her. Her attitude and actions impressed me. So, I asked her how she could be at peace. She shared with me her faith in Jesus Christ and her knowledge of the fullness of the Gospel being restored to the earth. I was a Christian but did not have her strength. Because she was willing to share her faith with me, I came to know these things for myself. Now I have known this peace and I want to share this joy with others!

How I live my faith

Right now my husband and I are serving a full time mission for our church. We live in a small town with a small congregation (Branch). Currently I am teaching the 3 and 4 year old children about Jesus and His love for each of us. They are such a delight! All the members of our Branch here are wonderful, loving people. I feel so blessed to know them and feel their kindness and goodness. We are doing our best to help our community here in whatever ways we can. Everyone we have met has been friendly and welcoming to us.
