Hi I'm Mae

I live it. I love it. I"m a Mormon.

About Me

I read and play video games. I am trying to decide where I belong in this world still. I survived public school.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a family that is either Mormon, or very not. When I was eight, my dad had a herniated disk. Our neighbors sent the missionaries to help him with a landscaping project. I took the lessons with him and was baptized with him. I really didn't know why I was doing it at the time. As I started to grow up around all of the good influences, I started to see how I was different. I didn't like that, so I started to hang around people who were worse than me, so I could be better. I tried to make them better, but it was like trying to glue together bucking broncos. I ended up so stressed that I had to separate myself. Doing this left me alone, until I felt the urge to focus more on my Personal Progress. This program, which is like an Eagle scout honor in difficulty and dedication, led me to be a better person, and helped me grow spiritually. As I got more into the program, I also made more friends within the church. These friends helped to boost me even more. In five months, I had finished my Personal Progress, just before my eighteenth birthday. The scriptures, tied with the teachings of the prophets, are my bread and butter. I may not be perfect, but I know heavenly father loves me anyway. That is enough for me to make it through the most trying circumstances.

How I live my faith

I have taught the little children ages 18 months to two years. I helped plan Young Single Adult activities. I am Now serving a mission in the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo West Mission.
